With almost three weeks under our belt, we are now about to leave the "soft opening" stage and become fully operational. We have made a number of upgrades to the quoting and client service sections, including providing more information with quotes and creating an easier path for returning clients to review their policies and quotes.
I really want to thank the kind and patient folks who stood by us during the first few weeks as we fixed bugs and worked hard to improve the user experience. Sometimes it takes an outside set of eyes to see the most obvious things. Thank you again, your advice and kind words have been invaluable.
The last of the "start up" issues that remains is credit card processing. If you had asked me two months ago what issues we would encounter when EducatorProtect went live, credit card processing is the one I would not have guessed. I could go into a lengthy discussion of the process, including some choice thoughts about the banking system, but I will spare you for now. Let's just suffice it to say that credit card processing will be turned on in the next few days.
Once credit card processing is operational, we will have fulfilled the initial promise of creating a system that will allow educators to complete the entire insurance purchasing process in just a few minutes, quite a milestone. Of course, that will be no time to rest, we have to be sure that educators everywhere know about us. Expect to see internet advertising begin next week, coupled with print ads in the run up to the IDA national convention in October. Of course, you can help too. Please don't hesitate to help spread the word by making sure your friends and colleagues know about EducatorProtect.
Thanks again for all of your support,
Joe
