EducatorProtect is what is known as a “Managing General Agent” or MGA in insurance speak. An MGA has the authority to both underwrite and issue polices on the insurance Company’s behalf, subject to pre-established rules. As an MGA we are also the exclusive distributor of the EducatorProtect product. In the same respect, our authority is limited strictly to EducatorProtect.
But that is not ALL of who we are. Sometimes we are asked to place business outside of the EducatorProtect online system. Fortunately, EducatorProtect is an affiliate of Insurance Services Group Inc. When we place insurance outside of the online system, we act as a broker, who searches the insurance marketplace to look for the best cost and coverage. While you are working with the same people, we have the ability to serve you in several different capacities.
